Hello! I’m going to try to do a sprint, making the most of the festivities and the fact that I have nothing to do today, and to catch up on the little things I need to explain about the cosplays we’ve done lately.<\/p>\n

I start with Maya’s boot covers. I have already made\u00a0<\/span>several\u00a0<\/span><\/a>boot covers<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in my cosplay life and, except for those from\u00a0<\/span>Seripa<\/span><\/a>\u00a0, they are all made in the same way:\u00a0<\/span>they are a spandex tube adapted to the foot and leg.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The peculiarity of Maya’s boots is that, like her bodysuit, they have several pieces of different fabrics. So I did the same as with the body.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a scrap of lycra, I made a tube as a base.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then I put on that tube of lycra and adapted it to my anatomy on some \u20ac6 sports shoes that I bought at Carrefour. At first I thought about painting them directly and moving on from making boot covers, but Maya wears one leg of her pants higher than the other and it is very noticeable that the shoe runs upwards from the ankle, so I had to make them (something I’m glad about now ).<\/span><\/p>\n

As always, it was very tight and it was quite tedious to get the shoe out of there.<\/span><\/p>\n

I cut the pieces out of fabric and transferred them to paper.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this first image I think each piece and its location can be distinguished quite well. Placed like this, in the middle, everything seemed quite intuitive to me and the shape of the side of the shoe can be slightly distinguished.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfolded they are like in the image below. When I saw that I had a moment when I didn’t know where everything went. Luckily I didn’t forget to make the registration marks to see where the pieces joined and I put them together.<\/span><\/p>\n

And, indeed, once everything was put together and closed, it was the way I wanted.<\/span><\/p>\n

To finish, I added the faux leather strips in the ankle area, the red EVA foam strip in the center of the yellow piece and painted them to give them the chell shading effect.<\/p>\n

The glove thing is funny because I had a pretty big mistake: I made the one for the left hand instead of the one for the right. Then I fixed it, but I have photos of the process of what I did wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n

I bought a black glove at the dollar store and glued the 2mm EVA pieces on it with fabric glue. I let it stick under a pile of books for 42 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

I painted it and aged it with acrylics.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

And that’s it, the glove has no mystery.<\/span><\/p>\n
